Hi everyone,
I have a brief question regarding name issues.
My German name has an Umlaut, e.g. Ü .
My ECFMG record has the name with an UE as spelled in my passport (machine-readable part).
However, from a previous J-1 research stay in the US, I already have a SSN# which states my name just with an U (no umlaut, no transliteration).
Will this cause any problems with the matching process or employment when just mentioning my name as in the ECFMG record (and telling human resources about the different name in the SSA records)?
Many thanks!
