Can I change my information with ECFMG after relocation to US.

about "bar-code" on ECFMG for 183
hiii, i am IMG from india. i paid 970$ i got 183 n certified it with school official and mailed it to ECFMG.
Then after 2 days ,after seeing my friend's form i noticed tht due to some printing problem i didnt have bar-code on the left corner of form.
Rest of things in forms are right. it has my name and USMLE id no. i certified it with school official. signed it in front of them.
Now what should i do? will i have any problem in registering?

ECFMG Certificate Delay
I already passed the steps and I am waiting for my school to get the transcript request from the ecfmg I am worried I won't have my certificate in time for September. I read that some programs allow you to contact them and explain them that the certificate is in process and this way they may not reject your application.... Any one heard of this? Anyone in a similar situation?

I did my MBBS in 2012 and was not required to do internship before getting degree. My exam was held in April 2012 and Date of Declaration of Result is August 2012.

Documents required by the ECFMG?
Hello everyone....
My question is, what are the documents that are required by the ECFMG from the medical school for the match? And does it have to be mailed directly from the medical school? Can I request the medical school to send those documents without attempting CS in order get the documents ready in time for the match?

ECFMG Payment Did not go through

I need some help , i am from Egypt
I want to extend my eligibility from june-july-august to sep-oct-nov 2013
I cancelled my appointment in the prometric but when i tried to make the extension through ecfmg , the steps stopped at the payment step and it says "declined"
I pay through an internet visa card..
I contacted the visa bank hotline and it says :
There is new rules for visa cards for security purposes that no website can deduct from my account unless he asks for the cvv number of the visa together with the card no. And Name , so the payment can never be done without a field for the cvv number in the payment page , and ECFMG doesnt ask for cvv so the process cannot be done
I tried to call ECFMG many times but the recorded msg says there is unusual pressure on ecfmg and i should call in another time !!
Can anyone offer me some advice regarding this problem , i need to do this as soos as possible because the exam center in egypt is usually crowded with limited spots and i should book early enough.

In how much advance can you apply for a usmle step 1 eligibility period?
For example Can I apply for eligibility period 1 year before?
And If I apply as a student, do I have to be enrolled till the eligibility period or is it ok if I am to graduate before the eligibility period? (I will be applying in my final year for eligibility period after a gap of at least one year)

Different Middle Names
Hello everyone
I want to register at ECFMG but i have a problem
The name on my certificate has 6 names
eg. Ahmad Mohie Name Name Name Salem
But the name on my passport Can ONLY include 4 names
so it would be: Ahmad Mohie Name Salem (Salem is my last name)
Changing the name on my certificate would be very exhausting and time consuming as the university has many problems with issues like that (i don't know if it is even possible)
My question: Will this pose a problem for me and what options do i have to fix this ?
With which name should i register on ECFMG: the one on my passport or the one on my certificate ?

Scheduling Permit not received
i applied for step 2 ck 3 weeks ago and i have not received mt scheduling permit.
After how many days did you guys get yours?
For me it has been 3 weeks and no permit:confused::confused:
Called up ECFMG they say its still processing but one of my friends got his permit within a week of applying.

Register as student, take the exam as a graduate.
So I want to register for Step 2 CK but I haven't gotten my diploma yet but I have pretty much graduated. If I register as a student and take the exam as a graduate will there be problems later on? Should I just wait the 2-3 weeks for the diploma?

Posting this for a friend who is thinking of changing his name on the ECFMG records. A few questions.
1. Is it possible to change the name on the ECFMG certificate after it is issued?
2. ECFMG Form 182 says "official court order" is accepted. Is this the one that is given by the magistrate saying "he/she has applied for a name change"?
3. How long does ECFMG take to do the name change (and issue the new ECFMG certificate)?

I am an IMG and recently began studying for step 1. I havent registered for the exam yet, but i was wondering as to how early i should start the ECFMG process. How long does it usually take for the school to send out papers and complete the whole ordeal? Any suggestions would help! i would ideally like to take my exam in November 2013.
