can anyone help me in solving my query??
i appeared in usmle step 1 in march 2009 and passed it and planned to step 2 cs before appearing for step 2 ck and was denied of visa so i left the idea of doing usmle as i was already doin my post graduation but now i want to appear in step 2 ck & cs in 2016 so that atleast i get ecfmg certification for adding up in my cv and am no more intrested in residency match.
My query is
1. can i appear in step 2 ck & cs while my step 1 results are still valid?
2. for how long my step 1 result will be valid ?? is it 7 years from 2009 i.e which means this year 2016, i have to complete my step 2 ck & cs to get ecfmg certification?
