Applying for ECFMG certification as a Final Year Student

Im in my final year of med school and i plan on taking step 1 as an intern.
I was told that the documents to be sent for ECFMG certification will vary depending on whether i'm applying as a student( as there wont be a diploma as yet) or as a graduate.
will i have to re-submit forms since technically when i take step 1 i will be a graduate?
i was hoping to get the tedious process over with ahead of time.

Any suggestions ?
