I am an IMG from Poland. I've completed the on-line part of my application for Step 1, but... an authorized official of my medical university refused to sign my Form 186. He said he would do it under one condition: I must pass NBME Comprehensive Basic Science Test. Only in case the result is satisfying, he will sing my Form 186.
The role of my med school at this stage is only to authenticate my diploma (and transcript afterwards), so are they allowed to demand NBME CBST for that? Is such behaviour acceptable by ECFMG? Or maybe should I report it to ECFMG?
