Hey guys,
4th year AUA student here. Finished ALL the cores and have only 15weeks of electives remaining. Now, i need to transfer. So i spoke to someone at Atlantic SOM and i was told that " student must complete minimum of 36 weeks with the new school inorder for him/her to get his/her degree or get ecfmg certification" I forget the exact wording that was used. However, i was told that its A RULE that all schools must follow otherwise student won't be able to apply for residency.
Can anyone here clarify this? I just dont want to get ripped off by paying for extra 2 semesters. Thank you!
Btw, i did read ECFMG booklet and other ECFMG information regarding transferring but i didn't come across this 36 weeks rule.
2) Besides being listed in WHO and IMED, anything else that i must look at before committing to this school? Just dont want to get screwed.
Thank you!
